So I guess the saying is true that when it rains it pours, and also that as soon as your husband leaves everything will break. I am sitting here at home waiting for the tow truck for the 2nd time this week. It seems that earlier this week when I had my dead Tahoe towed to the dealship they were lying when they said they fixed it. I so love mechanics!!!

Oh the weather outside is frightful....
For those of you that have lived here before you can appreciate the weather system that has moved in to the area today! For those of you that haven't lived here, you really should try to visit sometime this time of year!! We have blizzard like conditions outside right now with 40 mph winds. Tomorrow the high temp (read that high temp) is supposed to be -12 with windchills of -50 to -55. Don't you all wish you could live here! And the best part is, nothing with be closed tomorrow because this type of weather is normal for winter here! I hope you all are warm tonight!

The time is almost here...
As many of you know, Adam leaves on Saturday for his 1 year deployment to Qatar (the middle east for those of you not familiar with the country). To help the kids countdown the time until he gets home I took on the ambitious task of creating a paper chain with 365 links to it (warning...unless you are absolutely crazy do not try this at home!!) We decided to hang it around the kids toy room for them to see as they play every day.

Fun with Playdough
This week Kayla and Mommy made some homemade playdough. It was super easy and everyone had a blast playing with it (indcluding Daddy!)

Long Week....
It has been a very long week in our house this week! On Tuesday, Kayla got made at Carter over a toy (like every 2 year old does with a sibling) and decided that to get the toy away from him she needed to smack his head against the tile floor! Needless to say we ended up in the ER and Carter has a dandy of a concussion. The photo above was taken today (Friday) so he is starting to feel better. You can see the bruise on his forehead.
We have had several conversations with Kayla this week about how we act around our brother. She seems to understand so hopefully we never have to worry about this again!
