Well for the 2 or 3 of you who look here, I haven't posted in awhile for a few reasons. First off Adam is home and we are spending lost of time catching up. Second is we don't really have a working camera. My camera works but since I can't find the battery charger it is dead, and Adam's camera got broke during the flight back to the states.
I promise more posts soon here!

The time has come....
For many many many things! For starters Adam returns next week from his year away from all of us..and in the words of Kayla..WOOT WOOT!
The kids and I (ok just me) are packing like crazy trying to get us ready to meet up with him. The plan (depending on mother nature) is to leave here on Sunday and drive part of the way to Minot, and then get up early Monday and finish the last half. I could do the whole thing in 1 day as it's only 12 hours, but then I would be exhausted and overly cranky by the time we got to Minot.
We will hang out in Minot then for about 6 weeks (in TLF of course) before we head on down to our next assignment in warm/snow free San Antonio, TX! Kayla is so excited to live where there is Sea World and Luby's...I have a feeling we are going to be eating at Luby's alot if she has her way :)
The kids and I are super excited to see Adam and know that this time he isn't leaving again in a week or 2 weeks like the other 2 times we saw him this year. We can all just relax and unwind, and get our butts kicked at Wii bowling by Kayla!

The trials and tribulations of potty training a 2 year old boy
If you can't already tell, Carter is not the most cooperative when it comes to potty training. He flat out refuses to wear underwear and begs for a diaper. When he is sitting on a potty he looks at you like "you've got to be kidding". Or he thinks it's "playtime" if you know what I mean.
Today as I was changing yet another diaper I tried to reason with him (problem #1) that he needs to wear underwear like a big boy, just like daddy does. He very matter-of-factly informed me that "underwear for babies and diapers for big boys like carter!"
The other day in fact, I just went ahead and put a pair of underwear on him and he started sobbing and bawling about how horrible it was "pwease take off!! I want diaper back!"
I think this potty training experience is going to be long and painful for us....

Craziness shall ensue
Well as this 1 year deployment of Adam's quickly comes to an end (in about 3 weeks!) I have to start preparing for yet another move....this will make the 3rd move for the kids and I since last January. I do have to say though that its been great to get rid of things and learn to live with way less!
We should be moving to TX after he gets back, we just don't know exactly when (I love the military!). The kids are really looking forward to everything there is to do there...Kayla asks weekly if we can go eat at Luby's (which she has eaten at exactly 2 times but is obsessed with!) as soon as we get there.
It will be nice to get us all back together on the same continent and under 1 roof again. I am very grateful that our families have put up with us since May, but it will be nice to have my own space again too :)

Iowa City Children's Museum
This past Sunday this kids and I went to Iowa City and met up with Melissa, my college roomate, and her kids and went to the Childrens Museum. If you live near Iowa City and have small kids I highly recommend taking them there! My kids had so much fun! Here they are driving an ambulance..the screen shows you "driving" down a street.
