Well we got to Monona yesterday afternoon. Today was an absolutely beautiful day so we decided to take the kids out to see their Great Grandma and Grandpa Larson. They have a massive garden at their house (they live in the country, so by massive I really do mean massive!) The kids spent 3 hours there just wandering around the garden, the flower gardens and the whole yard. They had an absolute blast.
During the day, Grandpa and Grandma let them help harvest some corn, potatos, tomatos, and onions from the garden. Everything is just starting to be ready to harvest, so we will be back to visit before we go home to get more from them! The kids had so much fun gardening, and picking flowers. Making their way into Grandpa's sweet corn field.
Learning how to pick sweet corn from Grandpa. They have a HUGE sweet corn patch, and we are going to be sure to pick some before we go back to West Burlington next week.
Carter helped Grandma get a bucket to put the veggies in.
Time to help Grandpa pick a few potatos. That whole patch behind him is all potatos, so we will all have plenty to eat this year!
Carter got left with the dirty job of putting the potatos in the bucket. I guess Kayla was too good for that job!
