Today the kids and I had to separate Easter Parties to attend. The first was the base Easter Egg hunt. They sign you up for a specific time frame so that there aren't a million kids fighting over eggs. They even go so far to separate the kids into age groups. They collect their eggs and then turn them back in for a goodie bag, this way everyone gets the same amount of goodies.
Here are the minions getting ready for their easter egg hunt....Carter is asking for candy!
Here are Kayla and her "twin sister" Claire....I swear everyone thinks they are twins, but Julie and I just don't see it!
Carter was more interested in taking the eggs apart than he was to pick them up.
Kayla was on a mission during the hunt and had no time to pose for pictures or even stop to talk!
Time to get her face painted with her "sister" She took the guy seriously when he said to look up.
Time for the 2nd party of the day. The Comm Sq had an Easter Party for the kids. They had all sorts of activities, snacks and an Easter Egg hunt to end the day.
Carter decided to play the bean bag toss game by his own rules...that means you stand right in front of it so that you never miss.
Kayla made daddy a bunny. You can't tell from here, but her bunny looks like he had a few too many carrot juices!
Carter ran up and down this ramp for like half an hour...when he would get to the top he would yell "Get Down" then he would run down and laugh hysterically and repeat the process...
I tried so hard to get a cute picture of them together...Carter is trying to say cheese with a mouthful of cookies!

Again, there was no messing around with Kayla...she was on a mission!
All in all the kids had a blast today! Carter did end up getting sick from all of the cookies and candy he ate today. Thankfully, they both crashed when we got home so Mom gets some much needed relaxation time!
