Today, the local cable company brought Dora and Boots to the mall. Julie and I decided to take the kids down to meet Dora. Here are the 2 anxious girls as we get ready to head out to the mall. When we got to the mall, there were literally 500 kids ahead of us to meet Dora...and that was after she had already been there for 2 hours! We waited in line for a bit (got some free hot dogs, chips and water) and then decided that we didn't want to wait 3 hours like most people were. We decided to just walk down to where Dora was and see if the girls could just see her.
We were actually able to get up to the side of where she was. The girls yelled for her and waved and Dora waved back. We were also able to get a few photos of them with Dora in the background. Had we waited the 3 hours the only difference would have been they would have been right next to Dora for the photo...NOT WORTH THE WAIT!! So here's Kayla with Dora.
The girls thought it was amazing to see Dora in real life!
Carter really wasn't feeling Dora today...he was more focused on Claire's play cell phone, and all of the people around him
Poor Carter looks half asleep! This was nap time for him and he was hurtin! Kayla on the other hand was explaining something about Dora to Julie....go figure!
See....I really do exist!! Not the greatest photo ever taken of me, but at least I can prove that my kids really do have a mother :)
Here are the girls yelling goodbye to Dora...she waved to them as we walked away..oh and that's my sweet new double stroller..it has 2 seats and a platform for standing in back..the kids are small enough that we can fit all 3 on it! It makes shopping much easier!
Today was also Day of the Child at the mall so we stopped to make some art projects.
Here are the girls with their foam flowers that they made.
All in all, I think they had alot of fun at the mall! Kayla and Carter fell asleep on the way home, and both even asked to go to bed early tonight!!!
