This evening I took the kids to the county fair that is going on in town. Definitely nothing to write home about, but the kids loved seeing all of the animals at it!
Here is Carter checking out the pigs. He looked at me and said "That BIG pig mommy!" and then he just kept trying to pet them like they were a dog!
Here's Kayla hanging out on Uncle Cale's shoulders. That's Cales friend Sam next to them.
She loved petting the sheep. It cracked her up when they would BAAAHH at her.
They were fascinated by the geese since there are baby geese back on the farm. Carter almost got his finger bitten though!
There was a really nice 4-H girl there cleaning her rabbit cages and she let the kids pet one of the rabbits. They thought it was the greatest thing ever.
After the fair we headed over to the ballpark where the local minor league team the Burlington Bees play. They were having fireworks after the game so we hung out in the parking lot waiting for them to start. I love that we have so much room in the van that the kids can just hang out on the floor.
We put the tailgate seat function to good use tonight. Its actually pretty comfortable to sit on!
Here are the kids hanging out with Cale's friend Edward. He's like a little kid himself so they all get along great!
I bet you can't guess what they are doing now......they are mesmerized when they see fireworks.
